Clarins Black Friday statistics and analysis:
Beauty retailer Clarins specialises in cosmetics, make-up and skincare, and although beauty retailers often have large discounts because off large margins and markups, Clarins offers a rather modest 10% discount on Black Friday. However, don't get confused this is a legitimate sale on all items sitewide. Clarins has seen a year on year growth with black Friday traffic, starting in 2013 there was a 10 fold increase the next year and a further 80% increase in 2015. Clarins ranks 36th on our top 450 Black Friday sales, and is in our top 10 for beauty retailers. Which is quite an impressive feat considering Clarins only sales own brand products. We estimate that they had over 30000 visitors last Black Friday, and an my expert opinion that is still room to grow with greater online promotion and the possibility of a larger discount on black Friday it self.
Clarins Black Friday last year:
Clarins showed restraint last year with regards to discounting prior to the Christmas. We only saw one discount and that was on Black Friday itself. And as previously mentioned the discount was 10% in nature, which is modest in comparison to every other beauty retailer. From arbitrary search Black Friday is much larger than Boxing Day ever was, and multiple times larger than the previous January sales towards the end of the 20st century.
And if I was to point at and online retailer which is still focused towards Christmas discounts Clarins would probably take the prize. That is to see last Black Friday sale was only 3 days long, and December featured three discounts and total. These included; free gift with orders over £60, on the 2nd of December 2016. Free mascara with orders over £50 on the 20th of December 2016 and finally the Clarins sale which started on Boxing Day itself. We observed that the Clarins seal had discounts of over 30%, may wish to wait until after boxing Day to grab a bargain.
Clarins Black Friday delivery and collection;
Clarins unfortunately does not offer click and collect at 8 shops, however they do have free delivery on orders over £50. If your purchase is not over £50, standard delivery cost £3.95. Clarins is a very confident retailer, however I feel that there may be real option to offer a better discount this here because it is clear demand for it and other competitors who offer a greater discount at this time.
