Black Friday Oven Deals Buying Guide

An oven can make or break meals and cakes so I want to go through some details that will hopefully help you choose the best black Friday oven deal for your home. The type of oven the oven that’s right for you depends on how much space you have.

In a small kitchen, a single built-in multifunction oven gives you an oven and grilling in one and saves space. But the downside, is you can’t use both at once.

A double built-in oven gives you twice the cooking space. You can either choose two ovens or an oven with a smaller separate grill oven. Another option is a built under oven that’s freestanding or fits between two cupboards with brackets.

You can also consider a free-standing cooker. These give you an oven and hob in one appliance and can be taken with you when you move home.

Capacity of oven sizes is measured in litres. A small oven for singles or couples is around 60 litres. A family, or those who like to entertain, might be better off with an 80-litre oven.

The different functions you can choose from include:

  • defrosting meals using the oven fan without heat
  • a fan that circulates heat around the oven for faster cooking times or
  • use of elements above and below your food so the heat is distributed by convection

Think about your favourite dishes and what settings your oven can have to make it easier for you to cook these.

Finally, there is the pyrolytic oven which are self-cleaning without the use of harsh chemicals or even elbow grease. Instead they use intense heat to turn mess into ashes that can easily be wiped away. If a self-cleaning oven is just outside your budget, an oven with catalytic liners helps break down grease, so again it’s easier for you to clean. An oven should last you a long time, take the factors we’ve mentioned into consideration and you should be well on your way to choosing the right oven.
